Shiori Kawai

 Dr. Shiori Kawai is a dedicated palliative care physician and clinical researcher in Medicine. She earned her medical degree from Kanazawa University School of Medicine in Japan, specializing in Diabetes and Endocrinology. Alongside her specialization, she provides primary care services in areas characterized by a high aging population. Amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 Pandemic, she recognized the urgency to address lifestyle diseases. Drawing upon her clinical encounters, she initiated research endeavors at Dokkyo Medical University Saitama Medical Center aimed at elucidating effective strategies for managing these prevalent conditions. 

With a wealth of clinical experience, she brings unique perspectives to her research pursuits. Her overarching objective is to mitigate the burden of lifestyle diseases, particularly obesity and Diabetes, within the aging and increasingly economically challenged Japanese populace.
