Dr. Scott Kuwada's research has focused on hereditary GI cancers, chemoprevention trials and gastric carcinogenesis. He was the first to link Helicobacter pylori to gastrointestinal stromal tumors and is currently evaluating the role of viruses in gastric carcinogenesis.
