Peng Fan

Peng Fan is a seasoned strategic advisor and technology executive with decades of experience in digital technologies, including advertising platforms, e-commerce solutions, messaging platforms and tools, financial technology services, and the application of generative AI to drive revenue growth and business innovation. He is a world-class leader known for building and scaling organizations for massive growth, integrating cutting-edge innovations like generative AI, and leading high-impact product and engineering teams.

Mr. Fan currently serves as Vice President of Engineering at Meta’s Monetization Product organization, where he leads the development of products that connect over 200 million businesses with more than 3 billion people globally. His areas of responsibility include Ads, Shops (Commerce Ads), Business Messaging, Meta Financial Technologies (MetaFinTech), and monetization-focused generative AI initiatives. In this role, Mr. Fan leads product and technical teams to shape strategy and execute Meta’s monetization vision. His work spans the core $150 billion ads business, innovative approaches to monetizing messaging platforms like WhatsApp and Instagram, modernizing commerce through ad-powered solutions, and leveraging generative AI to accelerate business transformation.

Mr. Fan has been with Meta since 2010, contributing nearly 15 years of leadership and innovation. Prior to joining Meta, he co-founded a startup in the e-commerce space and worked at Microsoft for two years. He received his bachelor's degree from Nanjing University, and graduate degrees from the National University of Singapore and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology respectively.

With a broad global reach, Peng is deeply passionate about supporting CARE’s mission to improve precision health for Asians worldwide. In his spare time, he enjoys running, reading, and spending time with his family in Silicon Valley.
