Nicholas Panyanouvong

Nicholas Panyanouvong (he/him) is a coterm student in Epidemiology and Clinical Research at Stanford University. He is broadly interested in studying social determinants and their effects on people's engagement with the healthcare system. His prior research has leveraged quantitative and qualitative methods to characterize the health disparities encountered by underserved patient populations, including LGBTQ+ communities and people with a substance use disorder. More recently, he is investigating metabolic liver disease with the goal of evaluating diagnostic modalities for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease. Outside of research, Nick likes to practice extreme choreographies on Just Dance, write rap battles in the style of Epic Rap Battles of History, and design board games. This past year, he made a Stanford-themed card game and has been giving out copies around campus!
