Maria Blanca Piazuelo, MD

Maria Blanca Piazuelo is a research pathologist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Her main research interest is the precancerous process of the human stomach, primarily caused by H. pylori infection. She is Associate Director of the Tissue Morphology Subcore of the Vanderbilt Digestive Diseases Research Center and serves in multiple projects related to inflammation and carcinogenesis of the gastrointestinal tract in humans and in animal models.
