Jung Choi
Jung is passionate about helping underserved people living with serious diseases by delivering the best therapies science can create. She has led at the intersection of science and business, most recently as Chief Business & Strategy Officer at Global Blood Therapeutics, a sickle cell disease company where she led Corporate Development, R&D Program Management & Portfolio Strategy, Patient Advocacy and Government Affairs/Policy. She also held leadership positions at Gilead Sciences, InterMune, and Chimerix, and started her career at McKinsey and Bay City Capital. She serves on the Boards of Annexon Biosciences, Marea, New York Blood Center Enterprises, and California Life Sciences. She is an Entrepreneur in Residence at Third Rock Ventures and an Aspen Institute Health Innovators Fellow. She received a B.A. in human biology and MBA from Stanford University. Jung and her husband are proud parents of two teenagers and a labradoodle.
