CARE Explorers: AI x Asian Health Summer Program

About

The Stanford CARE Explorers Program is an engaging two-week in-person summer experience for high school students who are passionate about improving health outcomes in Asian communities and beyond. Participants will explore critical health topics affecting Asian populations, gain foundational skills in statistical data analysis, and learn to utilize AI tools, including ChatGPT, to analyze health datasets. Additionally, they will develop vital leadership and teamwork skills.
 


Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the Stanford CARE Explorer Program, students will learn:

  • Fundamentals of statistical data analysis techniques
  • How to use AI tools like ChatGPT to look at and understand health data
  • To recognize and explain important health issues impacting Asian communities
  • Leadership and teamwork skills

We are excited to host two sessions of the CARE Explorers Program this summer! 

Session One: June 15 - June 26, 2026
Session Two: July 6 - 17, 2026
 


Program Application Information

  • The Stanford CARE Explorers Program is open to applicants of all backgrounds.
  • Eligible to rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors in the United States who are 14 years old or older.
  • Information on the Summer 2026 application and program fees will be shared once applications open.
